Synopsis
EN / "The Places of Sound: Seoul, Kiev, New York" questions the relationship between music and public space. In each city, a public place where music can be heard is filmed. Each place’s function, the space organization, the type of music and the people’s reactions reveal human, economic, cultural and social relationships. The need for art, its market value, our relationship to heritage and entertainment, the world of work and its dehumanization, and the meaning of symbols and values are discussed.

Dans chaque ville, il y a un lieu. Un lieu public.
Dans chaque lieu, il y a une musique. Toutes sortes de musiques.
Les musiciens sont tantôt présents, tantôt absents.
Et puis, il y a des gens. Des gens qui écoutent, des gens qui n'écoutent pas, des gens qui dansent, ou des gens occupés à tout autre chose.
